Although our company is part of a larger group with different activities in the sports and leisure industry it has always been a family business that has been controlled by the family of her founder, Roger Vercambre.
Roger Vercambre was appointed to manager of Yves Rocher Belgium where he launched a first series of saunas. He fell in love with the warm aspect of wood and as such started his own company in timber garden houses. In the beginning all houses was purchased in England, the cradle of gardening.
Only a few years later Roger created his own production line of timber garden houses in Belgium. At that time garden houses were only made of single huge pannels which made it very difficult to get them through the house to be installed in the backgarden.
The so called log cabins were introduced in Belgium by Gardenas and the customer was very satisfied with them. Both the solid construction as well as the thickness of the panels were considered as a revolution in the Belgian market whereas that concept had been existing in Scandinavia and Russia for over a thousand years.
A sister company was founded in Poland in order to start with the production of our own garden timber. Shortly after the company was transformed into a production unit for the manufacturing of timber garden houses made of modular panels as opposed to the massive garden houses which have always been produced in our company located in Dendermonde.
The production of garden houses with aluminium corner profiles was started and turned out to be very succesfull.
Our long term experience has allowed us to work today on your garden house of tomorrow.
